Born and raised in Boston, Jesse attended UMass Medical School before moving to New Mexico for his residency in Family and Community medicine. For the past 10 years he had worked in primary care clinics in the South Valley neighborhood of Albuquerque. He is currently the director of community wellness programs at First Choice Community Healthcare. He also helped found the advocacy group Primary Care Advocates for Healthy Communities.
