Nathaniel Bossick is the Director of Programs and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for NAMI New Orleans. He has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Psychology and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies which focused on Sexuality and Conflict/Violence. He also has a master’s degree in Social Work with a certificate in Disaster Mental Health and Trauma Studies from Tulane University.
Most notably, Nathaniel has been recognized for his work in mental health and homelessness. In 2013 he was awarded #1 housing program by Unity of Greater New Orleans. In 2015, Nathaniel was recognized by Mayor Mitch Landrieu for service helping the City of New Orleans end veteran homelessness. Lastly, in 2017, Nathan was recognized as a 40 under 40 designee by the New Orleans Gambit for his work with Womanspace – a low barrier safe haven for chronically homeless women living with persistent and severe mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
