Steven McDonald is an emergency medicine physician in New York, NY. After completing his undergraduate work at Harvard University, he moved to Washington, DC, where he worked in healthcare consulting. After two years, he relocated to New York, NY to attend medical school at Columbia University and then stayed for residency between Bellevue Hospital and NYU Langone. He is now an attending physician in the emergency department back at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is interested in marrying a career in medicine with one in advocacy and racial justice. In addition to an interest in end of life care and racial injustice in medicine and society, Steven is working on a book detailing his experience on the front lines of the pandemic in New York City as well as at his participating in the Black Lives Matter movement.
