Sarah Swettberg works as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Cambridge Health Alliance Teen Health Center at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. She loves working in a school-based health clinic because it allows her to collaborate with school social workers, teachers, and other educators to positively impact the emotional, social, and physical health of young people. Sarah is continually inspired and amazed by the self-awareness and resilience of the young people with whom she works. She is especially passionate about issues pertaining to LGBTQI+ health, sexual health, and health equity. When Sarah is not working, she loves to read to her children, have impromptu family dance parties, search for cucumbers on her not-so-productive cucumber plant, and find quiet moments where she can hide from everyone and take a nap (thus far she has been unsuccessful at this).
