Molly B. Meyersohn PPCNP, MSN, MSPH
Boston Children’s Hospital
Boston, MA
Molly has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for close to 25 years, serving vulnerable families in Primary Care and an auxiliary Developmental Medicine practice devoted to the same population. She was recently certified in Functional Medicine and is in the process of assisting her step-father and sister in posthumously finishing her mother's book, investigating the history of Vitamin D deficiency with a particular focus on childbirth. Molly is so grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Health Equity Scholars Program. Her target population is preschoolers age 3-5 who age out of Early Intervention services but do not qualify for an Individual Education Plan so are stuck in a holding pattern until kindergarten. This leads to various levels of physical, spiritual, emotional & mental concerns for these children and their families who are already managing most social determinants of health, including brown skin, ESL, at least one parent <12th grade education, substandard housing and public school system. Her goal is to help empower them to create a different trajectory for themselves. Here's to a productive, effective and fabulous 9 months together!
