Andy Brothers is a family physician, core faculty member, and Health Equity Curriculum Director at the Sutter Family Medicine Residency Program in Sacramento, CA. He spent time working in the Indian Health Service with the Chippewa/Cree tribes in Havre, Montana in medical school, and with the Puyallup tribe in Tacoma, Washington during residency. He then enjoyed nine years of busy practice in the San Francisco Bay Area before joining the faculty in 2012. He is interested in a deeper understanding of the structural determinants of health inequities as a means of bringing about social and policy changes in the larger health system and society through partnership with the communities we serve.
